Very nice article. I think an issue arises when we go into decentralized technology with the mindset that it must match centralized solutions in terms of efficiency. The reality is, decentralized solutions are fundamentally slower. We have a long historical precedent supporting this reality. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t pursue “efficient enough,” but it does mean that we need to be VERY careful about sacrificing security and privacy for the sake of speed.

Sacrifice on those and soon there will be no advantage to using decentralized tech. In fact, it won’t really be decentralized anymore…
